I would like to hire Mayside Research to do some polling. How can this be done?

The most efficient way to contact MRI about conducting research is by filling out a contact form. Greg Smith, Mayside Research's founder, will get back to you regarding any business matters.


What products or services does the Mayside Research Institute offer?

Please refer to our "Products" page for a complete list and description of the products and services offered by MRI, but in general, we offer opinion poll and targeted survey services, market research, news releases, reports, articles, business consulting and analysis and other related public relation services.


I have a comment/criticism regarding your polls. Can I make my opinion known?

Mayside Research realizes that not everyone who reads our materials always agrees with the findings, and we encourage you to remember that our randomly selected samples help represent your opinion, even if you were not personally contacted. If you still feel like your opinion needs to be voiced, feel free to contact us, using the form found on our Contact MRI page and a Mayside Research associate will read and consider your feedback as we continue to conduct our surveys. If you would like to participate in future surveys and polling, simply register with our website. It's free.


How does Mayside Research polling work?

Polling, or survey research, contains many facets. In general, MRI editors address and consider sampling probability, sample selection, sample size, survey interviews, survey questions, and interpreting the results to arrive at what we consider to be an accurate representation of the public opinion on any given subject.


Is my personal information safe?

In a word, Yes. MRI will never release your personal details, name, address, or email address to anyone. Period. We do not rent our lists or allow any other company access to our user data.


Does it cost anything to join MRI?

If you want to express your opinion through any poll or survey posted to our website, you can register for free and particpate whenever you want. We will never try to sell you anything. All we want is your opinion.


Why should I join?

Mayside Research connects leaders with citizens, companies with customers and managers with employees. To join our community, you will need to create a membership to receive up-to-the-minute access to data-driven news, management insights, and special reports. Registration is absolutely free. Only MRI members can sign up for email subscriptions and be notified immediately when we publish analyses on topics that interest them.


How do I participate in MRI surveys?

Generally, we invite a randomly-selected portion of the Mayside Research panel to participate in a survey. We send you an email invitation that describes the survey and provides you with a link to the survey so that only you can take the survey. That having been said, you may participate in any poll or survey on our website, at any time.


Do I have to participate every time I am invited to take a survey?

We encourage you to take a survey whenever you receive an invitation. We value each member's opinion. Choosing not to participate in a survey, however, will not affect your future participation.


How long do surveys take to complete?

Our surveys take anywhere from 5 to 25 minutes. We try to keep the surveys to a maximum of 15 to 20 minutes. This time may vary depending on the speed of your Internet connection or browser.
